The mBot is the most-used free bot in Silkroad, and with it your character levels, farms gold, and does quests on its own, without you sitting at the PC. Instead of killing mobs by hand for hours, you set the bot up once and leave it running: it walks to the spot, lures, fights, heals, picks up loot, heads back to town to repair and buy pots, and starts all over again. This guide walks you through it tab by tab, from login to autoquest, so you can get it running without pulling your hair out.

Client / Login tab: get in and get going

This is the screen where you log the bot in, connect your account, and start training. It's also where you set up how it reconnects on its own if you get logged out.

Client / Login tab: bot login, folder selection, and game startup.
  1. Bot login: enter your mBot id and pw and press login to log into the bot.
  2. Server: shows the server name and IP. You have these options: Select Folder (choose your Silkroad folder), Start Game (opens Silkroad to connect), Show/hide client, Close game (closes the client and leaves your char in clientless mode), and Exit bot (disconnects your char).
  3. Stats: shows your char's data (HP/MP/EXP/SP/lvl/position).
  4. Proxy: use the User and pass fields to enter your id and pw so it auto-connects to your proxy account if you get disconnected.
  5. Autologin options: set up here how the bot reconnects (see details below).
  6. Status: tells you whether the bot is up to date, quest info, and so on.
  7. Language: choose the language. Load settings loads a saved configuration; below it you'll see the EXP, SP, and gold earned per minute.
  8. Save Settings: saves your settings. Save As stores them in an .ini file in the mBot folder (that file is what you load with Load Settings). There's also Start / stop training.

Breakdown of the autologin options (point 5): Enable auto re-entry (logs you back in if you get disconnected), Wait "x" minutes before trying to log in, Use a return if the char is in town, Start training after logging in (starts botting as soon as it enters), Login Clientless (RSRO only) (logs in without opening the game), and Enter Image Code (where you enter the login captcha or security code).

Protection tab: keep your char alive

Here you set at what HP % the bot takes pots, how it revives your pets, and when it returns to town to repair or restock. Getting this tab right is what stops you from finding your char dead.

Protection tab: pot consumption, reviving pets, and return-to-town conditions.
  1. Character consumption: set at what % you want the bot to consume HP/MP/vigor/pill/universal pill pots, and to use a heal skill if you have one.
  2. Pets/mount: set at what HP % it consumes for the horse/trader/pet atk, and to revive them if they die.
  3. Back Town When: set when the char returns to town (see conditions below).

Back Town When conditions: after dying, wait "X" seconds before reviving; out of arrows/bolt; inventory full; low durability (if a piece of the set and/or weapon drops to low durability, it goes back to repair); All Weapon Durability Low (returns if all weapons are broken); hit while walking back to the spot (if it gets stuck from lag, it returns with a return); no EXP gained for "x" seconds; HP POTS < "0" (returns when it has X HP pots left); MP POTS < "0"; and Broken Weapons > "0" (returns if it has X weapons at low durability).

Party tab: accept groups and buff

If you bot in a party (for example a cleric buffing a warrior), here you decide who you party with, who you buff, and who you resurrect when they die.

Party tab: accept/give party, group buffing, and reviving members.
  1. Party: set who you give party to and who you accept from. The "Only from the following list" option makes the bot only give party to the members you add (pick the char in the tab and press the +).
  2. Party Buffing: enable group buffing with Use Party Buffing. The first box shows your party members; under my skill you pick a skill and press the + to move it to the second box so the bot casts it on the whole party (e.g. the cleric's body/soul delty). With Ress player in party you pick the resurrect skill it uses when a party member dies.
  3. Buff specific members: enable this to buff specific members. Under Give Buff to you add the chars; under Buff for char you select a char, pick the skill from my skill, and press the + to assign it to that char only (handy for warriors). With Revive chars from list you set the ress skill and revive the chars in the list with the << button. With Use when HP % "0" you set the HP % at which the bot heals a member (pick the skill and press <<).

Loop tab: buy pots and record the scripts

This is the key botting tab: you set what the bot buys every time it passes through town and, above all, you record the two most important scripts: the walk to the spot and the lure.

Loop tab: automatic pot buying and recording the walk and lure scripts.
  1. Buy box: set the type and quantity of HP/MP/pill/vigor/speed/recovery kit/arrows pots, etc. the bot buys during the loop. Check the ones you want and choose the amount and type in the tabs.
  2. Record Script: this is where you record the walk-to-spot script or the lure script (see details below).
  3. My Skill: shows all your skills. Select the one you want the bot to use on the way to the spot (e.g. noise) and press the +.

Extra options on this tab: Use buff during script (uses skills on the way to the spot), Use buff in town, Ride a horse to the training spot, Use speed drugs, and Use reverse return scroll after buying (choose whether it returns to where it died or where it used return, so it doesn't have to walk).

Area tab: coordinates, ranges, and loading scripts

Here you tell the bot where to bot (the spot's coordinates), how far it can wander, and you load the scripts you recorded on the Loop tab.

Area tab: get the spot's position, botting/buff ranges, and loading scripts.
  1. Get current position: pressing this shows the coordinates of the spot/place you're standing on. Range training: a range from 1 to 100 where the char bots without straying out (the lower the number, the smaller the area). Range Buff+ress: a range from 1 to 100 where the bot gives buffs and ress (outside that range it won't).
  2. Walk script: press the dots (...) and find the script you made on the Loop tab; once loaded, the bot will walk to the spot. With Use auto lure you load the lure script the same way so the bot lures exactly as you recorded it.

Fight tab: buffs, attacks, and berserk

You set which skills the bot fights with: which buffs it puts up, which attacks it uses on each mob, and when it goes Berserk (zerk).

Fight tab: assigning buffs, attacks, Berserk, and combat options.
  1. This is where your skills appear.
  2. Add your buffs by selecting them from box 1 and pressing >>.
  3. Add your attacks by selecting them from box 1 and pressing >>.
  4. Select when you want the char to use zerk (Berserk): there are several options, pick one, press YES, and the bot goes Berserk accordingly.
  5. Set the attack options (see details below).
  6. Select which skill it uses on each mob.

Attack options: Use Imbue Skill (the imbue you use: fire sword for Chinese, poison for EU rogues); Ignore Jangan Cave traps (so it doesn't attack the pillars that spawn elite 98+ mobs, very handy); Buff yourself while attacking; Don't attack mobs; Don't follow target out of range (won't chase mobs beyond the range); Ignore dimension pillar (doesn't attack the FGW dimension pillars); Rebuff all buff when one buff finished (rebuffs everything when one buff runs out); Equip shield when wearing 1 hand weapon (puts the shield on when switching weapons, e.g. cleric); and Buff other players during script (buffs the party on the way to the spot).

Items tab: filter the loot

Set which items the bot picks up and which it ignores, and how it collects them (with the char, with the pet, to storage). A good filter is what lets you farm gold without cluttering your inventory with junk.

Items tab: loot filters by lvl/degree/race and collection options.
  1. Filter: choose what to filter (gear/weapons/accessories) and press apply. Box 4 shows the armor/weapons/rings; right-click the item you want, set the options, then apply settings.
  2. Filter criteria: enter the lvl, Degree, male/female, and EU/CH to filter in step 1.
  3. Collection settings: depends on whether you have a pet or not (see details below).
  4. Filter results: shows the filtered items; under search you can type a weapon's name, look it up, and apply whatever options you want.

Collection settings (point 3): Pick up items with the char; Pick with character when pet is full (picks with the char if the petgrab filled up); Pick only inside range (only within the botting range); Pick up gold with the char; Pick up items from other players; Pick up items with the pet; Pick gold with pet; Allow move items from pet to inventory (moves items from the petgrab to the inventory); Store items in the storage (sends what you marked in the filter to storage); Don't sell blue or plus item (won't sell items with blues or +1/+2/+3); Wait after "0" ms (when you have no pet, it waits X time after killing the mob before picking up); and Allow item drop to floor.

Extra tab: mob priority, safety, and autoquest

Here you fine-tune which mobs the bot prioritizes, turn on safety options, and set up the autoquest so it turns in and re-picks quests on its own.

Extra tab: mob priority, safety options, and autoquest setup.
  1. Mob priority: set a mob preference with +1 or -1; the higher a mob's value, the sooner it attacks it (or avoids it).
  2. Safety: the options are self-explanatory on screen.
  3. Autoquest: set up the autoquest by following the steps below.

How to set up the Autoquest

  1. Research the quest (which mobs it asks you to kill and where) and abandon it.
  2. Go to the spot where those mobs are and open the Loop tab.
  3. Select record quest, press start recording, and walk back (clicking the ground) to the NPC that gives the quest; pick it up and walk back to the spot. Press stop recording and save the script. If you're going to use teleport town, start recording from the point where you land when you use return.
  4. In the image, find the quest in box 3, select it, and press >> to add it. Under quest script press [...] and choose the quest script you recorded.
  5. Under When one selected quest is finished choose what it does when a quest ends: Start Quest Script (goes to town, turns it in, re-picks it, and returns to the spot) or Teleport to town (uses the return, turns it in, and runs the script from where it lands after the teleport).

Miscellaneous: Don't allow pause on premium (only iSRO and others that have it); Keep Unique Select (handy for hunting uniques: when it detects a unique in range it auto-selects it); Return to start point (goes back to the center of the area/range); Trace (always traces a player, useful for taxi); Use invi / stealth detection (see invisibles without a skill or pot); Accept revive; Only from list and current party members (only accepts ress from the party); and Use danger "mode" in job quest (for job quests in danger mode, which give EXP x2, versus x1 for normal ones). Under Unsaved settings you can enable auto raise mastery by choosing the mastery and the desired gap.

Extra 2 tab: specific priority and MConditionals

Here you fine-tune priority mob by mob and unlock MConditionals, custom "if X happens, do Y" conditions (the most powerful part of mBot for advanced plays).

Extra 2 tab: specific priority by mob name and creating MConditionals.

Specific mob priority: type the mob's name in specific monster priority, press search, and choose: Prefer (gives it attack priority), No Preference (doesn't prioritize it; only attacks it if there are no preferred mobs in range), Avoid (avoids it and moves away), or Ignore (doesn't attack it).

MConditionals: let you create custom conditions. Example: under When you select SI [Party member dead count] and in the box next to it you enter [1]; under then you put [use skill] [holy group reverse] and press create as new mcondition. That makes it, when 1 party member dies, use the holy group reverse skill. With Append condition to selected one you chain conditions: create the 2, select the second, and press that button.

Spy tab: inspect your gear and others'

It lets you review your own gear in detail and spy on other players and mobs (what set they have, lvl, HP, and more).

Spy tab: inspecting your own gear and spying on other players and mobs.

Self-inspection: you can see what you have in Avatar (which avatar and whether you have devil), Fellow (your pet atk), Guild storage, Inventory (items in your inventory and what's equipped: set/weapons), Pet (petgrab items), and Storage.

Spy: you spy on other players (what set they have, lvl, and more). Under Monster you see the mobs and, when you select one, its HP/type/lvl; under Pet you see what pet others have (but not what's inside it).

Notifications tab: sound alerts

Set up alert sounds so you know when something important happens while the bot runs on its own.

Notifications tab: assigning alert sounds to bot events.

Here you set the sounds that play when any of the listed events occurs. If you don't set anything, mBot comes with some defaults.

Log tab: EXP and loot record

The record of everything the bot does: how much EXP it gained, which items it collected, alchemy, and more. Ideal for checking how your botting is performing.

Log tab: record of EXP, collected items, and alchemy.

Several options show up in the log: the EXP, the collected items, the alchemy, and other things you can select to taste.

FAQ and common errors

Do I need an mBot account? No, the mBot Crack doesn't need an mBot account.

How do I create an mBot shortcut? First create a folder for the bot and, inside it, a subfolder for each character. Extract mBot into the character's folder, right-click MbotCrack.exe, and choose Create shortcut; then cut the shortcut and place it wherever you want.

Every in-game letter shows up as "0". Open the config.ini at your bot's location and change the number on the first line from Lang=0 to Lang=9.
