Before you set foot on the Silk Road you need a character, and this decision will stay with you the entire game: it defines how you'll farm, how you'll fight in PVP, and how easy it'll be to find a party. In this guide you'll create your character from scratch: you'll choose your race (Chinese or European), understand the real differences between them, and finish by locking in a recommended build for your playstyle. Relax if you're new: we'll walk you through it step by step.
Open the creation screen
On the character selection screen, click the [Crear/Create] button to begin.
Choose your race: Chinese or Euro
You'll see 2 races to choose from: Chinese and Euro. The Chinese is on the right and the Euro on the left. Each has clear strengths and weaknesses, so read what follows carefully before you decide: you can't change this later.
Chinese character: pros and cons
The Chinese is the most self-sufficient race: it holds up, heals fast, and depends on no one to farm.
Pros:
- Only a 1-second cooldown on potions (HP/MP), so it heals with almost no pause.
- Its gear doesn't require mastery points.
- Has a wide variety of skills.
- Depending on the build, they're very tanky.
Cons:
- Depending on the build, its attack is low.
- Hard to find a party, since it gives no buffs to others.
- All its buffs are for itself only.
- Depending on the build, they're slow to level up.
European character: pros and cons
The Euro hits hard and is the heart of any party thanks to its support buffs, but it's fragile if you leave it on its own.
Pros:
- Its attack is high.
- Has plenty of support buffs for the party.
- Depending on the build, it has buffs that boost its own attack.
- Has a wide variety of masteries.
Cons:
- Its potions have a 15-second cooldown (HP/MP).
- Its attack buffs cut your HP/MP or defense quite a bit.
- Its gear requires a mastery level.
- If it trains solo, it tends to die too much.
Confirm the creation
Once your settings are ready, click the [Confirmar/Confirm] button.
Enter the game
With your character created, select it in the list and click the [Iniciar/Start] button to connect.
The moment you log in, you'll spawn in your race's home city: Jangan if you're Chinese, Constantinople if you're European. On screen you'll have the bar for placing your future skills, the drop-down option bars, and the ones showing your character's stats.
Choose your recommended build
The build is the combination of masteries and stats that defines your character. Pick it based on your playstyle (PVP or training) and your stat type: STR (strength), INT (intelligence), or hybrid. These are the recommended combinations.
